In the years past, the graduating class has received 10 tickets per student. This year, we are only going to be receiving 4 tickets per student. UC Hastings has decided to change the venue to a significantly smaller venue this year without considering the effects this change will have to the graduating students and has based this decision purely on its own economic interest. We have all waited at least seven years for this moment, and it is unfair that we be forced to choose only four people from all the people who have supported us and been there for us during these years. Additionally, we have spent an incredible amount of money, for which most of us are now in debt, that it is unreasonable to not expect students to be upset about the limited number of tickets.
Please sign this petition, AND email Rupa, Dean Wingate, Dean Marshall, and Dean Wu to express your disappointment with this venue and the number of tickets we will be receiving. Unless we express our discontent, our voices will not be heard and we will be forced to face our family members and explain to them that they cannot attend our graduation because we only have 4 tickets and demand that the venue be changed.

The administration is currently reviewing the feedback provided by the graduating class regarding the ticket allotment. Correspondence is being prepared to ensure our concerns remain at the forefront of their discussions. Persistence is necessary to secure a venue that accommodates those who have supported our academic journey.

The response to this petition has gained substantial momentum over the last few days. It is clear that the frustration regarding our commencement limitations is shared by a great many people. We must continue to press for a venue that honors the years of effort we have all invested.

So unfair to the class of 2013. My parents helped me so much through law school and now they might not even get to see me walk. NOT RIGHT.
4 tickets is a joke. seriously. after all the tuition we paid???
This is ridiculous. We worked way too hard for this to have to leave half our family at home. Change the venue back.
pretty upset about this. give us the 10 tickets like every other year.
