With cable/dsl internet ending just before Larsen Ave, there are no REAL high speed internet options for people farther up Trout Gulch Rd. Wild Blue/Exede/ViaSat/Hughes all have extremely high monthly fees (up to 3 times the price of Cruzio, Comcast or At&t), less than half the speed of cable internet and they have unrealistic data caps. You can not enjoy YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc because streaming HD quality ruins our "data allowance" after just a few day into the billing cycle.
For 6 years now, I have been paying over $100 for 10mbps (which is worse than most DSL, and Xfinity is around 100mbps) and am limited to 15/gb/mo (Xfinity has a cap at 1tb, or 67 TIMES MORE data than ViaSat allows at this price). ViaSat told me over the phone that 15gb per month would allow me to watch 3 movies that month then be throttled to dial-up speeds. A few people Ive talked to up here want the exact same thing; good, fast internet without major restrictions.
After talking with reps and field personnel from both Cruzio, At&t and Comcast (as recently as 4/29/18), they all said if we want better internet up here, start a petition so they can make a benefit/cost analysis of the project. They also said there have been many people up here inquiring, but nothing definitive. If we get enough people showing they want some decent internet up here, these companies may just listen. All it takes is your support by signing this petition to show they should take a decent look up here.

Yes PLEASE!!!! I'm at 3142 Trout Gulch Rd and HughesNet SUCKS. We are just a stone's throw (ok not really but WHATEVER) from Silicon Valley and we can't even stream a Netflix show? Ridiculous. I LOVE living here, but this is so uncool. Hook it up!
I have been talking to some companies' construction depts and they are asking for name, address and phone of people who are interested. Can you please send your info to [email protected] so I can make a list? Thanks!
I have opened a dialog with a few companies in the area and their construction departments. They are hoping to get some info from people, mostly name, address and phone number. Anyone interested please email [email protected] so I can compile a list to send over. Originally they said we only needed a few to show interest (a number they threw out was 7) and with our signatures being twice that now this may be a good sign. Thanks!

Thats definitely the hope. If we can get enough signatures to show interest, I was told that could be a large step in the right direction. They want to know they would be making some of the money back for the construction and interested households are the way to do it. Crossing my fingers this gets their attention when I forward it over!
