Diwali (Deepavali) is one of the most popular festivals in India. It is considered as the festival of lights and symbolizes good over evil.

But the real question is whether burning crackers is a part of good over evil?

Well, here is the answer to this question, A HUGE NO!

Why is that so? Why is burning crackers considered an evil/bad act?

To support the answer, some of the reasons as follows:-

1. burning crackers causes the release of carbon dioxide and results in air pollution.

2. It affects the animals too! They get injured when they are near the lit crackers.

3. Senior citizens and children have the high chance to get affected by air pollution.

4. It also creates noise pollution. And sometimes, can lead to deafness too.

So this diwali, take these pledges and abide by it-

^A PLEDGE TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT (INCLUDING ANIMALS).

^A PLEDGE TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT GREEN DIWALI.

^A PLEDGE NOT TO HARM THE SURROUNDINGS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF MY ENTERTAINMENT.

^ A PLEDGE NOT TO BURST CRACKERS.

Last but not the least, spread awareness about eco-friendly diwali in your social circle, colleagues, classmates and family! And ask them to sign this petition to be a part of the change which would lead to a better environment!
