A federal grant application deadline is fast approaching and the future of the Rocky Mountain Greenway is in limbo due to lingering concerns about the Rocky Flats site in northern Jefferson County. This is one of the most intensively studied places in North America and has been deemed safe by numerous government and independent agencies. Please sign this petition and help continue the Rocky Mountain Greenway to its eventual destination at Rocky Mountain National Park.

From Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge through Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge to Rocky Mountain National Park... What an incredible legacy for Colorado.

Do it. Twenty years of studies and monitoring have proven the land is safe, especially the northeast corner where the trail would be routed. Commissioned as a National Wildlife Refuge in 2005, we've waited over 10 years to enjoy what the millions of Superfund dollars spent have produced- a world-class wildlife experience that hikers and cyclists alike can appreciate, and with no concerns of turning glow-in-the-dark neon green! Check local gov sites for public input at city council meetings this week in Westminster 5/9,, Jefferson County 5/10, Broomfield 5/10, Arvada 5/16, Boulder 5/12 and speak out! Palos (outside Chicago) was turned into a wonderful recreational resource after burying two nuclear reactors on the site. It was a great way to turn a relic from the nuclear age into a habitat for wildlife and recreation for all. I see the same for Rocky Flats and the RMG.

Taxpayers spent billions successfully cleaning up Rocky Flats, it is now time to start enjoying the fruits of that project. The Greenway is a great way to enjoy the site and all it has to offer

A healthy and diverse ecosystem depends on genetic diversity which depends on places through which genes may move: Greenways.

This is a great opportunity to create a wonderful Greenway for America to enjoy for many years. Let's not waste this chance when so many studies have found Rocky /flats safe for this use!
