Watham Forest Council is cutting funding to the Hamara Family Project which provides invaluable support for families of children with Autism in the borough. Hamara provides an amazing service and all its staff a very highly trained. They offer services such as life skills for teenagers with autism, a teenagers club, a dads group, a mums group, support for siblings (all of which have been cut) along side a wide range of support for children with autism (some of which have been cut). At the same time the borough is increasing the amount it spends on streetcleaning!
The council claim they will be getting some of the services from alternative providers. Why would they do this when the Hamara provides such an excellent service. The cuts may will prove very costly in the long term.
Please sign this petition to ask the Council to restore full funding to the Hamara project. Thank you

Ridiculous to cut support for vulnerable kids just to pay for a bit of sweeping.
The council really dont have a clue what these families go through everyday.

This place is a lifeline for so many families. Waltham Forest council have their priorities all wrong.
Hamara helped us when nobody else would. Why fix what isnt broken
