When we moved to Station House we were not told we should share our amenities and hallways with interns from various programs in our nation's capital. We made the educated assumption based on the cost of living here that our neighbors would be mid to late career professionals.

After months of making noise complaints and watching dozens of visitors stream into the lobby, preventing us from enjoying the amenities we all share, it's time to stand up and say enough.

We were recently asked what new amenities we'd like to see at SH. Well, we don't need another bocce court or spin class, we just want to enjoy our already-amazing amenities and enjoy our homes in peace and quiet.

Further, our professional and gracious concierge staff are not babysitters—they should not have to handle a barrage of constant noise and amenities-abuse complaints from adult residents on top of their regular responsibilities.

Either the internship program needs to end at Station House this coming semester and their units rented to young professionals or much more stringent punishments for rules violations need to be put in place.
