Dear School Board Members,

The residents of Augustine North are submitting the attached petition to express, in the strongest possible language, our opposition to moving the residents of Augustine North out of the Colonial Forge High School (CFHS) attendance zone.

Our community is one of the few neighborhoods that existed prior to the construction of CFHS. In fact, our neighborhood helped build CFHS through the Developer’s proffers. Accordingly, our neighborhood has a history and connection to CFHS that cannot be matched by any other large neighborhood in Stafford County. Certainly our right to attend CFHS is far superior to the newest neighborhoods which have recently been built, or are still under construction. In addition, we have a far superior right to attend CFHS than the neighborhoods that are 45 minutes to an hour away.
