The motion to remove our events from The Venue has officially been defeated. This result confirms that our social culture remains a valued part of student life. We will remain observant to ensure our events continue to thrive in the years ahead.

Trend is the only time as a Masters student I feel like entering Venue is acceptable - Am yet to be groped in a crowd which is a definite bonus compared to the travesty that is SOAP.
Student republic ensure that students live the student life and have varying nights out to choose from. Without them there would be no decent night life. They are a part of students life at both kent and Christ church university.
there are dedicated nights for chart, rock and rnb at venue aswell as off campus. #trend is the only night that caters to house and one of the only events where dj's actually mix their own tracks. #savetrend
Why fix something that isn't broken. A consistently busy night speaks volumes, student satisfaction should supersede 'public image'
It is a brilliant night in comparison to the usual cheesy nights at venue (e.g free pizza & donuts etc). Also provides opportunity to see known dj's such as Bondax which is even more appealing since Kent Union closed down the attic which was the only other place to offer live music !
Trend is my go to on a Friday night! Best student night
What would a Friday night be without Trend? It's one of the nights I most enjoy

Awkward that I've seen pretty much every staff member of Kent Union having the time of their lives at TREND on a Friday. They weren't crying about it then were they?
