This petition is to be able to bring back what Rio Grande lacks, school spirit, and student success acknowledgement. Time and time again does the administration shut us down, and not realize the needs of average high schoolers. The administration is out of touch, and it's time we show them our voice and stand up for what real Raven pride should look like.

I am currently organizing the specific examples of student achievement that have been overlooked by the current administration. These details will be compiled into a formal proposal for the school board to review. Expect an update once I finalize the meeting request for the principal.

The administration has acknowledged the current level of interest and agreed to a formal meeting to discuss our proposals. I am currently drafting a briefing document to present our specific requirements for student recognition programs.

yeah this place needs a huge change
finally someone said it. rio used to be fun and now its just a drag everyday.
Admin needs to wake up and see that we actually exist. tired of being ignored.
I saw plenty of wrong doings of the administration during my time at Rio Grande. Hopefully it's not too late for those after me.
For spirit week, we should try to make it more exciting! Make bigger and funnier signs, something that grabs peoples attention! Especially the freshmen and the sophomores. We should encourage them to participate in clubs and other things and show them that high school is fun and memorable. I remember my first day of freshmen year and there was stands with all the clubs that were being held and they would encourage us to join. A social media account that’s updated regularly could work too that shows our school spirit and gives information about news that is happening in the school. But I feel like if the upper class-men should encourage the rest and be friendly to others. Also, having more fun stuff for the seniors, like I hear from different schools that they usually have a senior prank or something like that. something that’s fun but also safe. Oh and our senior shirts! I’ve been wanting one that has the rio grande logo and the school colors, cause It shows your school and pride. Did they make our senior shirts? See like I don’t even know if we got some or if we have to order them.. I know it’s hard to try and have a lot of things because of money but I hope rio grande grows in every way, good luck! -Kim
