We, the citizens and taxpayers of Brazoria and Fort Bend counties, oppose the scheme by Port Freeport and the Brazoria Fort Bend Rail District to use eminent domain to seize land for a railroad from Freeport to Kendleton (and beyond). This project will have a devastating impact on landowners through reduced property values, impaired access to land across the tracks, flooding issues, lower quality of life, noise pollution, etc., and any benefit of having a second rail line to serve Port Freeport will be far outweighed by the costs to taxpayers and landowners. The time to act is NOW; join the Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/railno/ today.
