Dont change the name. Lets continue teaching the right way to cure and take care of patients. Im tired of being apart of a society thats for the money instead of the caring.

As an Optometrist, I find this proposal absurd.

This is so unfortunate. If we allow a corporation to PURCHASE a school, rather than treating their endowment as the show of support it should be, we cheapen that degree, and the profession as a whole. What a slippery slope you are leading us down. Shame on you, NSU!

It’s a disgrace that reflects poorly on the whole profession. Optometry schools are not sports stadiums. What other college or university would ever name one of its degree programs after a company? It cheapens the degree, the school, and the profession.

This is demeaning to our profession and an embarrassment to NSU. Optometry has fought for equal footing for 40 years. This will be seen as a step backwards.

What an embarrassment, I hope the admin realizes this decision will detract from their university brand name and cost them more in lost tuition, alumni donation, and the most priceless and irreplaceable of all, prestige.

Very unfortunate, I feel this is yet another push down a slippery slope of outside control over a medical profession. Dr. Caughell

Keep corporations out of our educational system. This is not the Dolphin stadium, The school should take pride in their name.

Fight the race to the bottom. Corporate control devalues optometry.
