This is an embarrassment to NSU Optometry. I applaud the efforts of the students and alumni for seeing through this money driven sham!

I carefully selected the Optometry school I attended and now feel for the students. This cheapens our profession and is a big step back for Optometry by allowing big corporations to gain more and more control and hurting the heart of the profession, private practice. I’ve been out of school 4 years and just bought my own private practice.

This name change is a slap in the face to every private practice optometry professional. Raise the money in an honest way and keep your reputation intact.

I am extremely proud of my Defree from NOVA SE University and the education I received from there and is continuing to help me through everyday. I would be ashamed if my degree suddenly meant less because of a corporate naming of my alma mata. Please reconsider.

I am completely disgusted that the university that I graduated from has decided to sell themselves to a corporation that promotes cheap and low quality eye care. Schools are suppose to be places that help professional students learn without any bias or influence from corporations or businesses in general !!! Our profession has its days counted as long as we keep selling ourselves out !!!

No money is worth degrading our profession to a company that stands for suppression of independent optometry.
