This is a really unfortunate conflict of interests and the wrong direction for any medical education. It really calls into question the integrity of all those associated with this.

I will no longer support anything related to NOVA. This includes non-participation in any CE event which has speakers who are faculty at NOVA.

How does an organization that has a documented history of being a 7.5 minute refraction mill get its name on an educational institution, a place where students learn to adhere to practice standards? What's next? Pfizer's name being outside a urology center?

Whole heartedly agree! Nothing against the National Vision corporation, but this is a major conflict of interest in my personal opinion.

Craziness. Absolute craziness.

The name of a school should not be up for sale. This is not a superficial matter. A name creates a powerful source of identity, and an affiliation to a brand is a disgrace to the profession. The statement regarding the justification of this change is laughable. NSU 2016

This is going to hurt the entire Optometric field. Optometry is struggling enough already, we don't need something like this staining our name.

Sad display of leadership of this school. Should seriously evaluate the board and leadership not realizing the effect on an academic establishment and its students. They were entrusted to develop /train ethically patient care first physicians. Wow

For those of you that don’t remember, this will become the college of optometry’s THIRD name since its inception in 1989. In 22 years, most of my patients in Florida still have never heard of the school as it is named now......shameful
