We want action taken to control mosquito numbers in and around the Griffin area.
Sign this petition to send a message to the Moreton Bay Regional Council. We NEED the mosquito numbers reduced! The council NEED to continue spraying areas of wetlands and marshlands throughout the Griffin area. It is affecting most, if not ALL of the Griffin residents. Adults and children alike are unable to comfortably enjoy the outdoors as soon as the sun begins setting without being "eaten alive" by swarms of mosquitoes. This is not only uncomfortable for some, but is highly dangerous for those adults and children with mosquito allergies.
We need action taken. We need as many e-signatures as we can get

The bite season is unrelenting and I am tired of watching our kids suffer in their own yards. We are nearing one hundred signatures and I need you to push this a little further today so the council cannot ignore us any longer.

I live in Narangba. I'm 35 and have a condition called Lymphedema. I'm to avoid getting bitten as this can flair up my condition, which has the potential to land me in hospital. Obviously I can't live in a bubble so spraying would help so much!
Something needs to be done I live in Murrumba Downs.. Its some what disappointing when we have friends and family around in the evening and all you can smell is the aeroguard everyone has to put on thickly to prevent mosquito bites. It's Qld Moreton Bay Council allow us to enjoy the outdoors please.
Mosquitoes are an issue. Constantly find them in my house and car. Just opening the garage to drive in and half a dozen get inside. With recent wet weather abd flooding this issue needs to be resolved.
I'm in freashwater estate and can't handle the mozzies much longer. I love our house but my poor kids are literally covered head to toe in bites from mozzies coming in through the aircon vents. They can't play in the yard EVER it's to the point if something isn't done by December to reduce them we will have to move.
Mosquito are so bad in our area. We either spray out children with poisonous chemicals or risk ross river. The problem is getting worse not better.
It used to be early morning and evenings now the mosquitoes are out all the time. I live near lake Eden and a lot of people spend time there. There are laws saying that the mosquito repellent chemical cannot be used near water ways but I say that is no excuse find a product that will do the job or find someone who can.

The mozzies in North Lakes are out in full force this year, it's the worse I've seen since 2008 when we moved here. I have spent the past week nursing my toddler back to health after a nasty reaction to multiple mozzies bites on her foot.
