We have a duty as human beings, to bring the best out of our communities. For too long we have allowed a void to stain the very land with which we live, love, and allow Mike Mackenize to destroy himself on. We are missing something that used to give our city an aura. An aura of wasted potential so great you could feel it in your bones as you walked down our streets. Kids are going to summer school and not getting the chance to sit next to the man who is universally recognized as the world champion of summer school stays. How much longer can we go without bumming off our cigarettes? How much longer can we move about the business of making our lives better, when so many of our youth will have nobody to look to for the newest designer t shirts that make absolutely no sense? This has to stop. We have a chance, and let's seize that chance.
