Delivery licenses were mandated for social equity and economic empowerment applicants so they could make a living in the cannabis industry, the current model will not accomplish that task. It is hard for applicants to make money off of delivery when they are just making a commission. It is only fair to allow delivery to buy wholesale so they can make money and survive. If you look at EAZE in California. They are financially in trouble because their model has not been profitable. They don't even have the restrictions MA has, like having security and two employees per delivery. They even have in-house inventory from other brands. - Akinyi

Because the social equity program isn't working the way it is meant to. All we are getting are out of state big money investors monopolizing the industry. Regular people also want an opportunity to get involved even if they don't have the means to overcome the unbelievable amount of regulatory and financial hurdles. - Jeremy

Without the ability to make wholesale agreements and warehouse products these businesses are just couriers for the dispensaries and will never make money. - Katherine

For many delivery is not profitable with current regulations in place. All delivery licensees will be equity members and in order to truly achieve equity regulations must be put in place to allow equity members to be successful. - David

Local farmers have a right to sell to and work with their communities. Farmers deserve the opportunity to sell their cannabis harvests and compete in the open market without restriction. Growing cannabis is an art, a science, and a true talent. Small farmers & distributors should have a right to conduct business without having to afford the unreasonable permits and taxes currently set in Massachusetts law. - Meghan

In my opinion it is the goal to give SE/EEs an opportunity to build thriving businesses in this industry & I feel that the aforementioned considerations I am signing for aid in that goal. - Gavin

The market is currently overrun by those who have to means to run practically any other businesses. Those who have been constantly harassed and punished don’t even have a chance to compete with these millionaires and billionaires. By opening delivery to be able to support both SE and EE will allow for some balance in this highly regulated market. Lastly, delivery drivers should be able to pick up their supply from anyone who grows with seed to sale tracking software and also tests their product through a licensed laboratory. Big business that are already selling marijuana on the market are already making max profits from this industry because they dominate it with their access to funds. By allowing SE and EE members to have access to this new service first, it will ensure that when the big corporations do join, the SE and EE will at least have a chance to earn as well. - Carlos

lowering the barriers of entry into the Cannabis industry should be a priority of the CCC. Its what voters wanted and the legislation asked for. So far all we have seen is a hand out to big money entities. - Chris

I suffer from cancer and medical marijuana has helped me a lot. I truly feel marijuana should be fully decriminalized across the country. Last time I checked tobacco and alcohol were killing thousands every year but they can do whatever. It’s just not right. Everyone of legal age should be able to consume marijuana whether for medical purposes or not. - Mark

Too much of this state’s market has gone to corporate interests. There needs to be more efforts made to allow for smaller business, particularly social equity applicants. The damage of the war on drugs has not yet been made right for those disproportionately affected. Creating more avenues for equity business applicants is one step in the right direction. - Caitlin
