As many of you know, on the upcoming camping trip the Denali Faculty will decide who our tent mates will be. Many of us find this pointless and impolite, because if the reason behind the camping trip is to have fun, but we are supposed to be with people that aren't necessarily our friends for 12 hours, some of which may not even be in our grade level, which means a maturity gap that may be inflammatory. If Denali is going to be a school that says that "All Grizzlies Lead", then they should show that they actually believe that and let us decide who is in our tent. It's stupid, I'll admit. I know a few people that I would hate to be paired with. Some of them make me feel very uncomfortable.
I agree that sleeping with random people isn't really a good idea. I mean being with random people is a good chance to meet new people, but sleeping is an entirely different story. When you're asleep, you can't do anything. So anything could happen, which is scary. When you're with people you know very well, that creates comfort. I will not be comfortable with sleeping with people I barely know at all. Thanks.

Please let us pick who are tent mates are! If the purpose of this camping trip is to have fun and it is difficult to have fun with people who you don't know. It is possible for us to get to know each other in other ways. For example, you can assign us where to sit during dinner or breakfast, but some people are uncomfortable to be in a tent with someone they don't know, especially if they are sleeping with that person, because of social anxiety. So please let us pick our tent mates, because that way we will be able to both have fun and still get to know each other better.
