New Hope for Youth

New hope helped me ALOT through out school they never once made me feel uncomfortable and have always been open and never judged me for things others have judged me for. I really hope that new hope can stay and continue to help out others as well because you dont always feel comfortable talking to people. So its nice to feel cared for and supported through tough times. I even had a couple people ( irene and jesse) show up to my graduation with a little gift for me and it meant alot to see sombody that made it through those 3 years with me and actually knew and understood me and everything ive done to be their and see my final moments. New Hope For Youth will forever be a big part of me and i hope it can continue on and help other kids how it helped me and as much as it helped me. Thank you new hope for everything!

Our youths are growing up in a tough and toxic world,i pray God will cover them through this difficult world.

New Hope has been a vital piece to the high school students on the East Side of San Jose. They support the most vulnerable students and their families. New Hope goes above and beyond to bridge the communication with schools and communities around. They always support campuses with home visits, extra support (job searching, team building, tutoring, and most of all having a safe space for young can come together with no issues. The encouragement they give to the youth now these days goes beyond measure. Please I ask you to keep them now and the coming future.

It is imperative that we keep these programs intact for the future of our children.

Mi nombre es Paola, madre de Kevin y Adrián, y hoy alzo mi voz no solo como madre, sino como una mujer que ha visto de cerca lo importante que es tener apoyo cuando una familia está atravesando momentos difíciles. Programas como New Hope for Youth no son simplemente una organización. Para muchas familias como la mía, representan una mano extendida, una guía, un lugar seguro y una esperanza cuando sentimos que no sabemos qué camino tomar. Como madre, puedo decir que criar a nuestros hijos no siempre es fácil. Hay momentos en los que los jóvenes enfrentan situaciones que los marcan profundamente: violencia, trauma, confusión, dolor emocional, problemas familiares, presión social y desafíos que muchas veces no saben cómo expresar. En esos momentos, una madre puede amar con todo su corazón, pero también necesita apoyo, orientación y recursos para poder ayudar mejor a sus hijos. En la vida de mis hijos, Kevin y Adrián, este tipo de programas tiene un impacto muy grande porque les recuerda que no están solos, que su vida vale, que todavía hay oportunidades, y que sí pueden tener un futuro diferente. Para mí, como mamá, significa saber que existe una comunidad dispuesta a escuchar, acompañar y proteger a nuestros jóvenes. Quitar o reducir estos servicios sería dejar a muchas familias sin un apoyo esencial. Sería cerrar una puerta de esperanza para jóvenes que necesitan dirección, amor, mentoría y segundas oportunidades. Por eso, hoy pido con respeto y con el corazón que se protejan y se mantengan estos servicios. Nuestros jóvenes necesitan más apoyo, no menos. Necesitan adultos, programas y comunidades que crean en ellos, incluso cuando ellos mismos han perdido la fe en su futuro. Como madre de Kevin y Adrián, sé que cada joven que recibe ayuda a tiempo puede cambiar su historia. Y cuando un joven cambia su historia, también cambia la historia de toda una familia. My son is still going through many struggles and difficult moments right now, and programs like New Hope for Youth are very important for families like ours. Knowing there are people who support, guide, and listen to our youth truly matters. Mr. Hugo and this program have been a source of hope during a very hard time. I honestly worry that if this program disappears, many young people will lose support when they need it the most.
