Yes, Hasbro, we do care about quality. You don't hesitate to charge a premium for this stuff, at least make it worth it.

It's not just Star Wars. Hasbro seems to be cutting little corners here and there in all of their lines to make what amounts to a few extra cents on each figure.
Not only is the five point articulation on The Force Awakens 3 and 3/4 inch figures disappointing, it's just another signal that Hasbro doesn't care about collectors. I mean, really, just waist, knee and elbow articulation would be great.
Of course, looking at their Transformers line, the same things are happening. The signature piece last year was the Devastator combiner, that was sold for $160, which for that price you'd expect six really good voyager class figures. Instead what you got was really dumbed down figures, with poor articulation, lack of accessories and not very good paint application. In the end, they probably save a few bucks on production, but they lost lots of sales from guys like me who are not going to buy something for $160 unless it's worth that.
Hasbro's latest Millennium Falcon for The Force Awakens was also a farce. Instead of a redeco and minor retool of the really nice BIG Millennium Falcon from a few years ago, they created a piece of garbage with a stupid nerf gun that pops out and slapped a $120 price tag on it. It was maybe a $35 toy. Complete garbage.

Just make Star Wars Action figures great again (and by that I mean, make 3.75 in with elbow and knee joints and stop pushing 6in toys on us)

It's a shame how the Star Wars toys evolve back. Today we have toys that look like they're from the 80s, they're bad in articulation, quality and more.

Regarding the Black Series 3.75 scale:
-lack of distribution and overall unavailability
-prominent reduction in quality
-glaring disparity in minority and female characterization
-repeated premium price increases
The above issues have led me away from your brand and onto your competitors.

Hasbro should be ashamed of themselves! What they offered us collectors is disgraceful, TFA micro vehicles & 5POA figures with dodgy paint applications (again! do any of you actually listen to us who pay your wages?), Hasbro us taking the piss with the hideous 'nerf' Falcon too. What a waste of plastic. Shameful.

Hot Toys is getting my money now. Hasbro has no respect for adult collectors anymore. With cheaper plastic, 5 POA, abysmal paint applications, tired character selection, crappy distribution, they have turned me away from the collection I thought would never end.

Although I think Hasbro has taken a huge step backwards in it's quality of product I have at least found a silver lining. Over the last couple of decades I have spent roughly $70 a month on their Star Wars product (yes I do track it as I am OCD that way). Some lines were better than others but they did all maintain a certain quality that was nice and respectable. However due to the dropping quality in Hasbro's product I have bought one lone item since the end of The Vintage Collection line. I do plan on spending money for Star Wars product going forward but have since moved on to other companies to keep the quality up. I pay a little more but am perfectly fine with that. As I look at my collection and how it has evolved over the last 25 years I am proud of it. But I want my collections quality to improve, not regress. So Hasbro do what you will. I have been a long time supporter but I feel it's time to part ways. There are other companies putting out very nice quality and thriving just fine. Maybe I am just one customer but just may be more out there like myself and possibly a lot more to come.

As a long term collector who has collected almost everything since 1995, I must say there is a lot to be desired by this line. Hasbro knocked it out of the park with the revenge of the sith line in 2005 and this new line pales in comparison. I'm not sure If cost is the big issue here but hasbro needs to find themselves a good balance between quality and cost in the future movie lines.
