I know all of us don’t see eye to eye on most things, but I believe we all strive for one: Quality

I don’t want this discussion to be about Super Articulated vs. Five Points of Articulation, or 3.75” vs. 6”, or even poor paint vs. detailed paint. This discussion is about building pride within our community and voicing our opinion on what we as collectors want.

Yesterday (August 20th, 2015), Hasbro’s The Force Awakens catalog was leaked. From what the collector community has grasped from these photos, Hasbro has turned The Force Awakens movie into a “cash grab” instead of a chance to build a new generation of Star Wars collectors. This lack of pride on what Hasbro can produce is insulting to the loyal collecting community that has held the brand up through the thick and thin.

We as collectors need to have our voices heard and to stand unified about what we believe in. We are not shouting for one thing or another, we are shouting for Hasbro to actually look at how big of a ripple this poor quality product will have on the Hasbro and Star Wars brand. We as a community can not let Hasbro destroy the Star Wars line that has been running strong since the Original Trilogy. We need to tell Hasbro we will not stand for this quality, this disrespect, or this narrow minded penny counting marketing strategy. Hasbro has to know how much we care, and how much loyalty they will lose. We need them to understand how unacceptable The Force Awakens toy line is, no matter what the bottom line is.

As a Star Wars collector, I hope you sign this petition so we can focus our voice into one. Hasbro needs to understand how much of an impact this misstep has on the Star Wars brand as a whole and how much they will lose because of it.

Thank you.

Regarding the Black Series 3.75 scale: -lack of distribution and overall unavailability -prominent reduction in quality -glaring disparity in minority and female characterization -repeated premium price increases The above issues have led me away from your brand and onto your competitors.

Hot Toys is getting my money now. Hasbro has no respect for adult collectors anymore. With cheaper plastic, 5 POA, abysmal paint applications, tired character selection, crappy distribution, they have turned me away from the collection I thought would never end.

As a long term collector who has collected almost everything since 1995, I must say there is a lot to be desired by this line. Hasbro knocked it out of the park with the revenge of the sith line in 2005 and this new line pales in comparison. I'm not sure If cost is the big issue here but hasbro needs to find themselves a good balance between quality and cost in the future movie lines.

Saddened to see such a drop in quality with TFA line, it will be the first time I buy no product for a new movie.

Including more accessories, keeping prices nominal, continuing on the path of progress with 3.75 super articulation, showing the OT a ton of love, playsets and re-making old vehicles to scale would go a long way to make us LONGtime collectors spend our money and get back into it. The Force Awakens has officially killed my buzz for any of your toys.

From what I've seen, Hasbro isn't releasing any SA 3.75" figures. This is extremely disappointing since that is the scale I mainly collect. I wish Hasbro would produce more figures that cater to collectors, or at least have a balance of 5POA and SA figures.

No more 6inch, and no one pays eight dollars for a five point figure these days

I refuse to buy Star Wars figures until the quality and articulation are brought back.
