This is a petition for those who are against using Greenhouse Gardens as access for the proposed development of 43 houses at the former Cummings Nursery, due to the following reasons:

1) There is an existing access road at the west of the site which was the original access road for the nursery used for delivery HGVs taking produce away and deliveries etc.

2) Greenhouse Gardens is not intended for heavy construction traffic as its surface is dressed with residential quality tarmac and block paving not carriageway quality materials and will therefore be wrecked.

3) This is a residential road with cars parked for loading and unloading children for school, delivery vans etc. mixed with large HGVs trying to negotiate the narrow road and S-bends will create a danger to life and limb.

4) At present, the road is being considered for adoption by DDC, this may not happen, who will pay for the refurbishment of the road after being trashed by the construction process?

5) During the construction process there will be 50 odd operatives parking through-out the estate causing grief and complaints, also adding congestion to the access at Culm Lea, another reason to use the access road at west end of site.

6) Once completed there will be approx. 100 additional vehicles driving through the estate endangering residents walking and driving and also adding to the congestion at the Culm Lea junction with Honiton Road, another reason to use access road at west end of site.
