Shawn Stevenson finally caved and returned our secretary and house structure to us. We forced the administration to stop ignoring the needs of this school and restore what actually works. Stay vigilant because we need to make sure they do not try these ridiculous power trips again.

Final supporters
Marysville Getchell is falling apart since Shawn Stevenson was appointed Principal of each of the SLC's (Small Learning Communities) Basically the district took away one of ISC's secretaries and we want her back. Also they took away ISC's houses and we want them back! Furthermore students are not allowed to use their cell phones during class. Not even for music! Shawn Stevenson needs to revert everything to the way it was. And ACE and Bio-Med students are not allowed to eat lunch in their SLC's witch make ISC and SFE extremely full during our lunches. All of this needs to change back to the way it was last year if you agree sign this petition! It really hurts me to see the school that I love turn into this. :(

Shawn Stevenson is ignoring our frustrations while the school crumbles under his restrictive policies. We are nearing five hundred signatures and need a final surge to force the district to acknowledge that we demand our houses and staff back now.

Many of the new rules are fair and easy to obey, but allowing students to eat in only one SLC and a cafeteria is hard to manage with the population of students per lunch. Lunch is packed and students will often go without food or a place to sit to eat their food. -Nathan Weller, Bio Med 2019
It really hurts me to see Bio, a school I once loved and cherished, turn into this. Each SLC was an interdependent communtity, and I think as a newcomer, he needs to reevaluate what he is doing to those communities.
My kids have loved attending Getchell up untill now! These new rules and losing the ISC are making kids not enjoy going to this school anymore, all the money they put into making this school great is now just falling apart. Very sad!
The fact of the matter is, it's 3 days into school and already over 630 students have already signed a petition saying the change is not good, what's that telling ya MSD25
Students should have their freedoms,and allow students to use their cellphones for purposes because like me i need it for translation that helps me alot . We all know that some of students dont know how to speak English fluently .

My son graduated from Getchell and at that time it was a great school. It's sad to see the changes. There was so much school spirit. There was so much pride to be a student at Getchell. The system in place was new and exciting and the students excelled. It worked!
