It's simple, if the Oakland Raiders must leave Oakland they should relocate to the Central Valley, Fresno in particular. As outlined by Paul Loeffler in The Fresno Bee here are key reasons they should move to Fresno:
- The Valley has the best fan base
- Fresno is the 5th largest city in California yet is 120 miles from the nearest professional sports team
- There are more people living in this region than the rumored target cities of San Antonio and Las Vegas.
- It would be a huge economic boost for the Central Valley.
- Sharing a stadium with Fresno State Football would be huge for fans.

Fresno should offer to host the Raiders for next year in the interim. Bulldog stadium would work nicely and it would not be the first (or last) time an NFL team played in a college stadium. Think of all the people that would come from SoCal and NorCal for games, of all the money flowing into area restaurants and hotels. Some people might even fly in. Even if they don't stay past next year, Fresno could use this opportunity to show that a professional team could be viable. At the very least, it would give the city and its residents at least one year of a major team and be a big shot in the arm for expanding Bulldog stadium.
