unfair that we commit so much to our sports and then have to let the team down because we have to go to lectures instead.

It's crazy to expect our sports teams to compete when not all players are available.

Unfair we have to miss lectures in order to compete for the uni

I feel bad for missing my lectures but want to go to the games. It shouldn't be either/ or. We should be encouraged to do physical activity!

Having to make a sacrifice between course learning and playing for the university teams isn't right and we shouldn't have to make that sacrifice; both should be available to maximise our university experiences!

really useful for clubs and teams to meet and train in, there's no point in removing it.

I haven't had the chance to play for a team due to lectures and really wish I could have played sports as well as doing my degree.

struggling with the commitments of work in free time, freeing up wednesday would certainly help, gives that extra needed time for revision and assignments

Do you seriously think the University management are going to do anything which benefits the students?

Wednesday should be free for everyone to play sport

I have joined the universities ultimate frisbee team. However due to timetableing issues this term i am unable to attend any of the training during the week. If we had wednesday afternoons off it would help.

Really tough when you have to choose between your team and you academic performance. The Uni often assures prospective students that they can have Wednesday afternoon to play sport. Uni should honour that prospectus!

WEDNESDAYS!!!!

Participating in university sport enables students to experience a different aspect of the social side of uni. Having lectures on Wednesdays puts people off participating in competitive sports. Wednesday lectures also means that some clubs are unable to field a team potentially resulting in teams having to drop out of their bucs league, which may reflect badly on the university as a whole. Keeping fit is not only an essential part of life, but for students it can massively benefit their studies by keeping them motivated, keen and enthusiastic #FUWednesdays

Exercise is a vital part of life, the University should encourage this by providing lecture free Wednesday afternoons

Sports science shouldn't be the only course to get Wednesdays off

Not just for those who do sports with a team, Wednesday afternoons would be a great time for people to exercise individually or have time off the timetable to catch up with work/deadlines. It'd be great to have this in line with other universities.
