Citizens and Visitors of Spearfish:

Thanks in part to your support last year, the City of Spearfish received $400,000 for the construction of phase 1 of the Exit 8 Rec Path extension project which is on schedule to begin in 2021. We are again eligible in 2020 to apply for another $400,000 for the construction of phase 2 which will complete the remaining 1.5 miles connecting the Exit 8 area to the rest of the City. The completion of this project will grow and promote continuity throughout the city, provide a longer path for recreation, and provide a safe alternative form of transportation.
