The board has officially announced the departure of Dr. Scribner. This outcome reflects the community desire for a new direction that prioritizes the academic needs of our students. We must now turn our attention to the search process to ensure the next appointment reflects our high standards for the district.

Dear FWISD Trustees,
We are concerned parents and citizens of Fort Worth, and we ask you to terminate Dr. Kent Scribner as Superintendent of Fort Worth ISD.
Students in our district is in undeniable academic CRISIS!
FWISD ranks dead last with a C in the state's Top 20 ISD's!
All others earned either an A or B.
Under his leadership, students of all levels have struggled with English and Math, and 1,000's have fled the district!
Some examples of Failure:
Prior to COVID, only 32% of 3rd graders could read at grade level.
Post COVID, only 25% of 3rd graders can read at grade level.
52% of FWISD students failed the End of Year Algebra 1 Exam, however, in Dallas, only 34% failed, Texas, only 28% failed.
These as well as other indicators demonstrate a long proven history that his strategy and performance do NOT provide value to our students or community.
We demand better for our students! NOW is the time for NEW leadership!

I know last year was challenging for everyone, however, both of my children complained of not learning. They were learning material that they had learned four years ago. The ISD did not prepare the teachers or the students. I don't feel our ISD has the children's best interest at heart. I feel most decisions are made based on political agenda. Our schools are behind in comparison with other areas obviously. As my children get older discreetly concerns me as they approach high school and college years. Will they be prepared?
We need leadership that focuses on the basics! Mr. Scribner has not done this!
We need new leadership who care about eduction of our children in basic of education- not education on specific political agendas
We can’t afford to wait till his contract expires! His methods aren’t working here. He’s not a good fit for our needs & must be replaced.
6 yrs of declined scores is more than enough time to know how someone will perform.
It’s time for someone new!!
His performance is a disaster and very disappointing!!!
