With hundreds of new cases everyday, people can no longer turn a blind eye to a clear and present danger - Love Jihad. The predatory nature of certain men is well documented. Nirmal Kaur, a 1983 batch IPS officer who retired as DGP in Jharkhand documents her own research about Love Jihad being a well funded movement, with the Moslem men being rewarded with money, vehicles and legal assistance for entrapping Hindu, Sikh and Jain women. And this is not limited just to India. UK, Canada and other places with a significant Indian diaspora have reported exactly similar and multitude of cases.
With the number of rapes, murders and horrific crimes on the rise, we cannot ignore this problem any longer.
Legislation and laws exist against this shameful phenomenon. 11 Indian states have already adopted laws against Love Jihad. And it is time this was made applicable across the nation and enshrined in the IPC!

I really thought this might just be ignored by everyone but the momentum here is honestly shocking and makes me feel like finally people are waking up to the reality of what is happening. Sometimes I scroll through these messages and just sit in disbelief that others see the danger too. We have to keep this pressure on until there is nowhere left for them to hide because the situation is getting so bad.

Love Jihad is a heinous crime and a sin against humanity! There should be a legislation against it and enforced strictly with fast track hearing in courts and decision - time bound not more than 6 months!
Law enforcement agencies and judiciary should be empowered to take decisive and stringent actions against any sort of physical assault and mental torture by such miscreants with jihadi mindset by passing a legislation in this regard at the regard, so that any further losses of our girls could be avoided.
Please make Love Jihad a severely punishable offense. There are hundreds of cases every month, and it is surprising why it has not been recognized so far.
Love jihad has increasingly become a tool for doing murder and what not. It is creating insecurity in society. Kindly make it similar to extreme cases of murder.
Entrapment of young women by Muslim youth under the 'Love Jihad' movement is. a serious crime. Strictest action must be taken against the perpetrators. The victims must be assisted in all possible ways to resettle in society.
I fully agree with the petition. Love Jihad exists and should be made an IPC offence.

Unless the ruling govt does not pass stringent laws for such henious crimes, there will always be a lawyer ready to defend the perpetrators, who for obvious reasons plead not guilty.
