We hit 250 signatures and the local council can no longer pretend these crumbling courts are acceptable. Your anger is fueling this fight against their complete negligence of our community space.

One hundred people have finally had enough of the crumbling courts at Eelbrook Common. The council keeps ignoring the state of these facilities while our kids are forced to play on cracked surfaces. This is just the beginning of holding them accountable.

October 5, 2015

The local council cannot ignore how many people are fed up with these crumbling courts anymore. This momentum proves that our community is finished waiting for them to fix this public space.

We live in the street and would love to be able to play tennis All Year Long like people do with football next door. Let's give our kids, our community the chance to play tennis when ever they want. Why kids should miss the tennis lesson because it s dark at 5. Nonsens.

Eel Brook tennis offers an excellent facility to get fit and have fun, for all age groups. Extending the hours with floodlit courts would extend this facility for the benefit of all. I urge the council to maintain and improve these courts. The knock-on health benefits will pay great dividends.

So many people want to play tennis but it is very difficult to book courts, the surface is terrible and no lights mean you can't play past 4.00 in the winter. It's just very short sighted of the council.

The park needs more courts, better surface (at the moment its super dangerous as some wholes or roots you can twist your ankle). An example would be hurlingham park surface. It could be financed by higher rent in future. Bishops park charges 5pounds extra for floodlights.

I would live to see the courts's surface improved in particular, it is not flat, and very damaged by tree roots and moss.

The location of those tennis courts is perfect, but they really need a good upgrade re surface and floodlights. Equally important would be some mini tennis courts given the huge popularity of the tennis courts with children.

Although it's already my favorite place to play in London thanks to the great work by Courtfit, the upgrades are imperative.

So many people use the courts because of the fantastic work done by Courtfit. It really has become a necessity to upgrade the courts.
