He is one of the best principals ever and well known / respected among students and families. He is a true team leader as well as a role model for the community.

I don't know him personally but my 3 ORHS kids (graduate last year, junior & freshman this year) have had nothing but positive interactions with Paul Burke and strongly feel that he is a positive and caring role mode that has done great things for ORHS since his appointment as principal. Personally I feel if these allegations warranted his suspension then they should be made public. If the allegations are not concrete enough for public awareness then he should not have been suspended. Innocent until proven guilty. Bring Mr. Burke back.

I have been very impressed by Paul Burke in his role as principal at Oak Ridge. I have had the opportunity to work with him on a sensitive school-related issue and he conducted his work thoughtfully and deliberately. I find him to be honest, fair and genuine. He holds his staff accountable to his high expectations. That is a trait to be modeled and not to be dismissed. He is a true asset to ORHS, the district and the community.

I can not imagine a case in which Paul Burke would lose my support. I have the utmost respect for him & would hate to see him leave ORHS. I hope he is cleared of whatever cloud has been out over him. In the several instances that I've dealt with him he always handled them perfectly!

Mr. Burke is an amazing principal who makes school fun! I don't remember the last time high school was fun, but ever since he came, it has been.

While we have no idea what the real deal is here or why, it makes me sad to see such an outwardly nice person being forced out. It seems to me that students just love him and my one experience with Paul was brief but positive. I was in the office one day waiting to meet with another person at the school. He strolled by and saw me sitting in a chair. He stopped to see if there was anything he could do to help and to introduce himself. It was a simple act that showed how much this guy cares about even the small details in his school. I hope that we get to see Paul back at Oak Ridge soon!

As the OR girls tennis coach, I have come to know Principal Burke since his arrival. He's been very supportive of the tennis team and sports in general. He has personally created a very positive atmosphere amongst the students. I would like him to remain the schools principal.

Whatever the circumstances do they really outweigh vilifying the very effectual leader and cutting edge high school administrator that is Paul Burke?? Current and future students of ORHS are the real victims should Mr. Burke be pressured to step down. I have had many opportunities to engage Mr. Burke and he has always conducted himself with the utmost professionalism. My sophomore is very very upset that the boat has been rocked and that Principal Burke is on leave. We support Mr. Burke because he is a man of great character and when all is said and done we hope everyone can move forward toward the great future that Mr. Burke has envisioned for ORHS.

Paul is a fantastic leader and motivator of teenagers. His dismissal would be tragic and a major set back for the entire Oak Ridge community.
