Coach Arnett is definitely deserving of this honor if not today, then when/if he retires. I hope his retirement is a long way off. I've always admired his dedication and attitude since my son joined the team in '00.

Coach Arnett defines what it is to be a great coach. It is time we recognize the countless hours, wisdom, and mentorship Arnett brings to the tradition of Arlington athletics. I could not think of a better way to express our appreciation and thanks for all he has done.

Coach Arnett has coached countless members of the Arlington Cross Country and Track and Field program, not only on the track, but in life as well. He has been one of my greatest mentors and true a inspiration. Arnett can certainly "look at the man in the mirror" and be proud of the reflection he sees starring back at him. He has dedicated his life to the team and that should be recognized.

Coach Arnett is a legend at Arlington High School, and one of my greatest mentors. The love and passion he has for coaching is unparalleled. He sees potential in individuals who are not able to see it in themselves and is able to elevate them to champions. Champions on and off the track (and field). I can still hear Arnett’s motivating speeches and encouraging words echo through my mind. I cannot thank him enough for pushing me to be who I am today. Arnett deserves this dedication.

Coach Arnett was a great coach, a great mentor, and a great leader and has helped so many students pay for college by training and coaching them to scholarships!

I have to commend Coach Arnett for his dedication to a sport that my three daughters still enjoy long after they left Arlington HS and have gone on to careers, They have participated on the side lines in several Boston Marathons and have gone onto run 1/2 and full marathons "just for fun" The training and the "never say give up" attitude they learned as athletes under his guidance has paid off in their collegiate and professional lives too. I think that Arlington should dedicate the track and field areas to Coach Arnett in gratitude for the hard work and the generosity he has shown to all our kids. He has made Arlington .a better place for our student-athletes and their families.

Coach Arnett is not just a coach he's also a mentor. Definitely a non replaceable part of Arlington track and field.

This is a no-brainer. Arnett has created a legacy with the Arlington running program, and it is known across the state for how successful it is. There is no coach more dedicated than him, and he has a lasting effect on the lives and memories of his athletes. I cannot think of a more deserving person than coach Arnett.

As many have mentioned already, Arnett inspired me and pushed me to be my best. He takes the time to mentor each and every one of his athletes and helps them not only become better runners but also amazing young adults. I can't think of a more fitting honor.

Coach Arnett was the most knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated coach. He challenges and pushes his athletes to be the best they can be, and by that, he has 100% shaped the person I am today; as well as countless other runners that he has guided throughout the years. No one is more deserving!!

Arnett showed us all what it meant to work hard and achieve great things as a team and individually. As an adult now, I don't think I'll ever understand how he was able to dedicate so much time, energy, and attention to all of us while also working full-time and having a family. He gave everything to us.
