I was there for Coach's first season at AHS. Such an immense talent for inspiring his athletes... He absolutely deserves this!!

The impact this man made on my husband during his years at Arlington is ever-lasting, and helped shape him to be the dedicated, focused, hard-working man he is today. To continue Arnett's legacy by dedicating the track to him would not only be an excellent way to honor him, but a wonderful way to remind future athlete of the ideals he instilled while he coached.

Outside of my mother and father, there's been no bigger influence in my life than Arnett. I learned so much from him not only about running but about how to get the job done the right way. Even running division 1 in college, I've never met a coach with more passion for every single one of his athletes than Arnett. This is a no brainer for AHS and should have been done long ago. Arnett continues to influence the lives of so many athletes and students and he deserves this honor.

Mr. Arnett was an inspirational man. Kind and dedicated. It was a pleasure spending 6 seasons of Track running and throwing for him!

My husband ran for Arnett and speaks highly of him. I believe the hubby is one of those champions. :-)

Coach Arnett was a pivotal influence in my formative HS years as he was with countless others. Arlington CSD would be putting its best foot forward within the community to recognize such a selfless individual.

I attended John Jay highschool and participated in their track program, and going to Arlington and watching the coach just really made me think he was a good coach and a good person and he deserves to have the track dedicated to him.

Coach Arnett is an inspiration to all the students he coaches. My daughter is on the winter and spring track teams. He is always positive with her and makes her feel good about herself every day she is a member of the teams.

Steve Arnett has been an incredible influence on my son's life. He's taught him the importance of, and the the rewards of hard work, setting goals, perseverance, sportsmanship, dedication and team work. Arnett drives his athletes to be the best they can be - on and off the track. Arlington High School should be honored to have such an incredible man coaching its student athletes. He has left his mark on hundreds of students and will continue to do so in coming years. The Arlington community and high school should be proud to have the track named after a true legend, Coach Steve Arnett.

Steve is not only an excellent coach but a mentor who inspired his student athletes to strive to achieve their potential in all aspects of their lives. I had three children work with "Arnett" and I spent 12 continuous years at his meets and enjoyed watching him inspire his athletes!
