The NYSPHSAA finally listened and the 96lb weight class is officially back on the books. This win belongs to every athlete who refused to be pushed out of the sport by corporate bureaucrats. We kept the pressure on and they folded.
The massive surge in momentum proves beyond a doubt that the NYSPHSAA cannot simply erase this weight class without a fight. This energy shows those bureaucrats that we are not going to back down while they strip opportunities away from these young athletes.

Keep the class! Not every wrestler is built like a giant. It gives the littler guys a fair chance to compete.

96lb is a staple weight class. Why change it now when it works fine for everyone?

Total garbage decision. Wrestling is about technique not just size. This is gonna push so many kids out of the sport.

My son worked so hard to make this weight. taking it away just punishes the smaller kids who are actually dedicated.

Fix this mess. Kids are gonna have to cut way too much weight if you pull this.
