I am aware of the water rupture at 757 Galt and believe the City of North Bay and its contractor are responsible for the repair at no cost to the owner and should fix the matter immediately
I have been in contact with the department of public works regarding the damage to the property on Galt Street. The city officials have acknowledged receipt of our petition and I am currently awaiting a formal response regarding their timeline for repairs.

As a homeowner I feel it is unfair to expect a person to pay for repairs that an independent contractor did. They are responsible for getting permits and located before doing any digging. Their neglect to do so and causing damage is solely their fault and hence their responsibility.

This is absurd. How can they charge someone for their own mess? Unbelievable.

THE CITY NEEDS TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THIS. THEY HIRED THE CREW SO THEY NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE INSTEAD OF BULLYING RESIDENTS.
