The leadership heard us and the traditional regalia is staying. Thank you for holding the line to protect our history and our identity as the visible arm of the Order. Keep watching for any future attempts to force these changes and stay ready to act again.

Do you think the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree regalia should not be changed?

Do you think we should retain our long standing history that sets us apart as the visible arm of the Order?

The current regalia has seen changes over the years but never something so drastic as what was unveiled at the Supreme Convention in July. Our KofC leadership believes that the current regalia is discouraging young Catholic men from joining the Knights. But, many think the current regalia is the last thing that is discouraging new membership. Many think the uniform that was unveiled at the Supreme Convention stripped the Sir Knights of any identify to the Knights, any sense of Patriotism to our Country and any ties to our Catholic Church.

If you believe we should not change our regalia, please join in signing this petition.

The change is not accepted at the DFW National Cemetery. It does not have an Honary appearance, but looks like paramilitary. Apparently the supreme duds are not Veterans

Jasper Msgr. Wernsing Assembly 251 held a meeting and at this time 49 Knights want to be included on the petition to retain the current regalia while 1 voted for the change and 2 abstained. Please include 49 Knights from our Assembly on the Petition. Thank you for your assistance in this matter. Navigator Jason T. Schmitt

The current regalia is most impressive to Catholics and those who are not are still impressed with our capes, plumes and swords when we participate in parades or during Mass. Young people are most in awe of us, we are stately and Patriotic.

I would like to see the regalia stay the as it is. No one that I know likes the new style or is going to be able to afford it. I myself will not be able to afford it or afford to save money for it. I have 3 kids that my money needs to go to first.

I became a 4th Degree Sir Knight like my father before me. I was so proud to see him as a member of the Honor Guard! My children made a gift of the regalia to me as a memorial to my father. I will terminate my membership if this unilateral decision is sustained.

If they force me to change regalia outfit with the new "mercenary" type uniform, I'll drop off the 4th degree, and I'll not recruit anybody ever. The priest from my church told me that he will not allow any more honor guard if knights show with the new uniform, which , by the way look so ridiculous.

The Traditional Regalia is the Preferred Uniform in my Assembly. Not Grandfathering the Regalia and not consulting with ALL Members first was a Hige display of Lack of Respect.

I agree. If everyone signs that believes this, Supreme might open their eyes?
