Knights of Columbus Supreme Council - Step Up to Defend Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus, the famous Christian explorer who discovered the Americas for Europe and laid the groundwork for over 500 years of great progress and prosperity, is under attack in America. Along with other memorials and monuments to our Christian faith, monuments to Columbus are being desecrated and destroyed. Yet the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council, our organization’s leadership, remain silent while individual members are left to defend his honor alone.
Our leadership are NOT leading.
We, the rank and file members of the Knights of Columbus, petition Knights of Columbus Supreme Council
- To speak out publicly on behalf of Christopher Columbus;
- To defend public statues, monuments and memorials to Christopher Columbus; and,
- To coordinate actions by Knights of Columbus 1.9 million members and 16,000 councils to defend our namesake, our order, and our Christian faith.
Further, if our Supreme Knight and Supreme Council do not have the courage to STEP UP at such a critical time, we ask that you STEP ASIDE and resign your posts so fellow Knights with the courage to act may take charge to lead us forward.

The momentum behind this call for leadership reflects the deep sense of urgency felt by our members across the country. It is clear that the rank and file expect our organization to uphold its original mission and defend the legacy of our namesake.

This goes beyond just a statue or even Christopher Columbus. This is about freedom of speech and our religious freedom, in particular for Catholics.
Supreme's silence is a powerful message of consent to the violent minority in our nation, who do not seek to peacefully address our nation's injustices, but only seek instead to evoke further hatred, division, and fear. Statue by statue, stone by stone, the "breach" is widening. Supreme, why are YOU not willing to stand-up and fill the "breach" in a professional, calm, and kind manner, drawing a distinction with your violent counterparts? Don't remain frozen in fear! Their is much more than your "5th Avenue" developed brand at stake. All of Catholicism is at risk! Recall the wise words of Edmund Burke, "All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to remain silent." I pray for our future.
Our tireless efforts of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism are at stake in the name of Columbus and Father McGivney.
It is not only our faith.... but our own Country’s history is virtually taking it on the chin for future history books to interpret. We need to look at what our children are going to study about these times and what or who stood up for their beliefs, therefore I believe it is logical to ask for Supreme to address this as soon as possible and show direction for us as Knights with information bulletins.
Lead or get out of the way. Perhaps you should stop worrying about selling insurance for a while and start listening to your dwindling membership
In theses trying times the KOC needs to stand strong for our Catholic faith to protect our priests and Church's from those that want to destroy the faith
Stand firm Knights to ward of fanatic, mis-directed, liberalism! Speak Up Leaders!

Please take a strong position and do everything to protect our statue. Christopher Columbus is the most famous sailor and explorer in the entire word. Unfortunately, a deceased person cannot defend himself from false accusations.We are so upset with the vandalism of those statues. The thought of removing them is disgraceful.
