All claimants in the 3M Earplug Lawsuit.
This petition serves as a notice that we as claimants reject the 9% "Common Benefit Fee" that is being taken out of our settlements. We did not agree to this fee and those funds are being allocated back to our lawyers that are already being paid anywhere from 32-40% of this entire settlement as it is. They are set to take in around $2.4B of the $6B settlement as it stands. We wholeheartedly reject this extra fee and request a refund of said fee for those who have already had it deducted from their settlements.

I really never thought this would gain this much steam but here we are and it is honestly wild to see so many of you feeling the exact same way about these extra fees. It feels like we are finally being heard even if the whole process is exhausting and makes my head spin sometimes.

I never agreed to double dipping. According to table 2 on page 8 of this new document. Funds will be taken out every year for administrative costs. Yet we are still going to be charged the extra 9% on top of that. !29% to admins costs!
Money cannot restore my husband’s hearing but he deserves the most compensation he can get. The lawyers do not. Please allow the money to go to the soldiers who lost their hearing.
The only lawyers that had to really do anything represented the original plaintiffs. The firms now are basically submitting paperwork that I gathered and sent them. No way they deserve this bonus money on top of their excessive cut.
I severed my country I was given earplugs that you did not work and I have to pay $1000 common fee so lawyers get paid more than their 44% fee that I was charged? Please stop this and do the honorable thing
Common benefit fund should have been covered by the lawyers as stated in the Judges orders. Theft needs justice
Work in constructionfiel for 40 years and hearing protection is mandatory and now I'm severely def in one ear and moderately def in the other. Use these at work and home hunting...
