We need your support in obtaining development approval for our newest project at 320 West Cedar Street in Little Italy San Diego. Our goal is to bring much needed smaller more affordable housing units to the most expensive neighborhood outside of La Jolla. This project will have 42 roughly 400 square foot studios 5 of which are very low income affordable housing units. Our hope is that with this development people who work downtown will now also be able to afford to live downtown, walk to work and or take public transportation. We have provided limited parking to push residents away from car ownership and reduce the cost of their units. The inevitable elimination of the privately owned automobile will help to alleviate our already congested freeways and by incentivizing not owning one with reduced rent we feel it will accelerate the change. Although 320 west cedar is a 5,000 sq foot development, inevitably this small step forward will be a catalyst for change in San Diego. Please support our development and support San Diego.

I have been reading your messages about the daily struggle of commuting into downtown and it confirms that this project is truly about your needs rather than my own. Behind the scenes we are preparing the documents for the planning department and hearing your stories is giving me the resolve to keep pushing forward.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum this project has gained lately. This progress belongs entirely to you and I never imagined so many people would care about these units as much as I do.

I lived in a unit this size at one point in my single life and it was very adequate. I even had a king-sized waterbed! if I had I had a partner at the time it still would have worked. I support this.
Great project, which replaces a run-down building and will bring some much needed diversity to the neighborhood. Hopefully some of the people that serve us will finally be able to live here too.
San Diego needs housing options, more affordable housing, density and high quality Architecture that enhances peoples lives. Developers like Jonathan willing to create high quality projects should be supported in this effort. Especially when trying to build viable projects on smaller lots like 320 West Cedar.
We are gradually pushing the working class away from the so called expensive neighborhood. This project will make a difference in ensuring equity.
There is an old adage that goes FORM FOLLOWS PARKING but for goodness sake, lets stop planning for cars and start planning affordable housing for the working class.
This could be a wonderful model that supports economic diversity In the city.

Buildings that support new ideas in transportation and living should be embraced and studied. Little Italy has been a test model for revitalizing neighborhoods across America. This is the next logical step and demonstrates San Diego is capable of bigger thinking. As a long term business owner in Little Italy, I wholeheartedly support this project.
