Seniors, for as long as anyone can recall, have had the right of passage of out of uniform the last two weeks of their senior year. We, the class of 2017, wish to continue this tradition.
This year, however, Spring Fling week is the 1st of our last 2 weeks and therefore out of uniform is already set for 3 of the 5 days. We would like to propose the following:
- Out of uniform for seniors following all the handbook rules May 15th and 16th (the first two days of Spring Fling week) as well as the week following it (May 22nd – 26th)
- Out of uniform for the senior mass this coming Friday, May 12th
- Sunday best
We, the senior class, fully understand all the rules of the out of uniform policy and accept all consequences for not following said rules. If granted this opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments and finish our senior year strong, we will to the best of our abilities follow school policy while making Hill-Murray proud of our choices.

The administration thought we would just roll over and accept their arbitrary rules but this surge of support proves they are dead wrong. We have the momentum now and it is time for the school board to stop ignoring our tradition.

weve worked hard for 4 years, it would be cool to at least have this tradition stay for us. please let us have this!
its our last year here let us have some fun before we graduate finally.
It is not only our long-lasting tradition, but it is also our last time to represent our individuality yet solidarity while coming together as a school community.
I can't speak for the whole senior class, but I know for sure the whole class in general are great people. If you are reading this Mrs. Herman (Or any HM high authority person), please don't judge us from the mistakes of previous senior classes. Let us not repeat history and create something new.

LITERALLY just let us wear normal clothes for a few days. its not hurting anyone and its a total senior thing.
