Our choice is to preserve interest indog shows or say goodbye to AKC as America's premier registry. Dog shows promote purebred dogs and wellbred litters which equate to more registrations and more interest in dog shows. It's a circle of success for all dog owners. PETITION TO SUPPORT AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB APPROVAL OF "2-SHOW DAY" DOG SHOW EVENTS

WHEREAS,AKC registrations of quality purebred dogs are plummeting and,

WHEREAS, dog show entries have fallen faster than entry fees and costs have risen and,

WHEREAS, owner-handlers have less free time to invest in the sport of dog showing and,

WHEREAS, small shows are collapsing due to the foregoing and,

WHEREAS, 2 shows in 1day afford the same or better opportunity to win points as2 shows in 2days,

IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the undersigned implore the American Kennel Club to approve the holding of a 2-Show Day, thereby reducing expenses for exhibitors and host clubs.The2-Show Day or 4-Show Weekend will encourage entries and participation in AKC dog shows, thus increasing registration of purebred litters and individual dogs.
