Exellent idea , instead of these 4-5 Day clusters which take people away from work and end up costing a small fortune to attend two shows in a day are more economical and the non pro exhibitor has the ability to attend! I have done a couple of two shows on the same day and i feel strongly that this is a better solution to include the amature in our sport.

People have a limited amount of money they can spend showing their dogs. If I can spend the money on entries instead of hotels (or RV parking), restaurants and gas, I could enter more dogs or more shows. 2 shows per day would be great! Also, many people in the community show up at dog shows mid afternoon, by which time, most of the local exhibitors are gone and the handlers are either back at their RVs or prepping for group. Not many people available for them to talk with about breeds of interest. 2 shows per day would lengthen the exhibition day, enabling more access for the community to learn about our breeds.

I am through with conformation! When and if it becomes about the dog and not the handler, I will be back. Handlers rarely have the best dog, but the judges will not look at breeder/owner exhibitor - and that NOHS is a joke, ok for practice time, but no points, so what's the point?

2 Shows per day would be a great improvement. I hope to see this come to fruition.

Great idea, this lowers costs for the clubs who are paying for locations and should increase the entries as people can show to 2 judges without changing locations.

2 shows per day would be great! As would written critique by judges, like Europe does.

Two shows a day will keep exhibitors on the grounds longer - enabling spectators more opportunities to see the dogs and interact with the breeders/handlers. This can only be positive for purebred dogs! Having two shows/day will save money in travel or enable owners to select which show to enter based on their schedules. It will allow for much more flexibility - I'm fully in favor of it! However, the AKC will need to allow clubs to offer more than two shows per year - expanding it to 4 shows per year so a club could handle the entire weekend, if they desire.

I support the 2 shows in 1 day idea now AKC should do the same.

Our club would welcome the 4 show weekend. AKC only allows 2 shows per club per year, but clubs used to combine - we could go back to that premise and stay closer to home & possibly increase amenities without losing money. It's very important to hold purebred shows in our own areas to combat the stigma of "show dogs"
