The loss of this Girls Brigade Company would be a tragedy. I hope Broxburn Church and the Girls Brigade will encourage and HELP the officers and Captain to continue.

My own membership of the Girls Brigade undoubtedly helped me to develop my own sense of self belief and confidence and provided a strong foundation for my Christian belief. Therefore I want this for my daughter and I belief this Company has been providing this for Rebecca and her friends.
I wish to further add that I consider Alison Turnbull to have been an excellent Captain and roll model for the girls. I would be delighted if it were possible for her to be reinstated.

All of the officers give so much of their time and energy making this the GB company that it is today. It would be such a loss to the girls who enjoy their time there if it was unable to continue.

Having been a member of Broxburn GB many years ago, I know how valuable an asset it is within the community. Now, more than ever, this sort of organisation is needed to offer guidance, support and fun for young people to help them become aware of their own potential and strengths. The next generation is our future and we need to do all we can to help and encourage them. Please do not make a rash decision which will have long-term repercussions for the community!

Both my daughters attended Broxburn girls brigade. The brigade played a large role in the childhood. It would be a real loss Broxburn and the surrounding area if the brigade were to disband.

My daughter was welcomed into the family of 1st Broxburn GB as a 4 year old and attended regularly until she was 17. She was encouraged and her faith nurtured throughout those formative years by a wonderful group of GB officers led by Ali Turnbull. She worked hard to achieve her Queens Award and was given support and help along the way which has helped shape her into the person she is today.
As a parent I cannot thank Ali and her team of Officers enough for their dedication to the girls, for giving up their Friday nights, weekends and other times to prepare and make 1st Broxburn GB such a fun place for girls to make friends and grow together in faith. For the few responsible for bringing about this situation I would urge them to consider their actions and the implications which closure of 1st Broxburn GB would have on our wider community. I shall continue to pray for all and earnestly hope that Ali and her dedicated Officers will feel able to continue to help our girls to "Seek, Serve and Follow Christ".

I spent 13 years at GB 1st Broxburn and I loved every moment of it. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet with friends, take part in activities and camps. There has always been a fantastic support network from the leaders and especially the Captain, Alison. They give up every Friday night to ensure we have somewhere fun and safe to be. I am saddened to hear about the issues ongoing and pray that they receive the same support that they gave and continue to give us.
