My daughter has been attending broxburn girls brigade since p1 she is now in p5.she is very sad to hear they might not be returning after the summer. Alison and her team have done such an amazing job with the girls and to do so in there free time as volunteers is such an amazing thing to do for them.

My daughter has attended GB fo several years now. Like the others I am very saddened by recent events and can only hope that the company can remain. The children miss Alison.

I have been continually disappointed as a member of Broxburn Parish to witness the breakdown of youth and children's work and the feeling of having no voice to do anything about it.
I attended GB's from Primary school into Secondary in Ayrshire in the 90's/00's and we probably didn't have half as many girls as are still in Broxburn GB's to this day and this is attributed to the faithful dedication of Alison Turnbull and the officers who serve alongside her. Prayers always for them and the girls as they learn and grow in their faith through this awesome Company!

My niece is a member of 1st Broxburn GB and she along with our whole family are devastated at the recent events within the company! I myself used to be a member of this company, when it was originally the 31st E & L, and progressed through the ranks to become an Officer!
Through Alison Turnbull as Captain, this Company, over the last 3 decades, has thrived in our community, with over 100 girls attending week in week out. Alison is seen as the main role model in the Company encouraging girls to grow in their Faith, Confidence and Belief in themselves! It would be an absolute tragedy if GB Broxburn were to fold affecting the lives of these Young people!
In this, the year of the Young Person for the Church of Scotland, please, I urge you to save 1st Broxburn GB Company? This town needs Alison and her wonderful Officers to carry on the fantastic work they do getting young girls over the threshold of the Church buildings which in this day and age is not an easy thing to do!

My daughter is also very upset that the company could be disbanded. What happened to children being the future of the Church. This doesn't seem to be the case at Broxburn Parish. We seem to be losing everything that involves children.
The captain and the officers give up their time on a Friday night to teach the girls on a Friday night.

Considering the continuing high numbers attending the company I was shocked that closure was a possibility. My daughter has attended for several years and continues to enjoy the innovative, fun activities the leaders come up with week after week. It would be of huge detriment to the community to loose such a positive group.
