Brophy and Marcos are petitioning Gatorade to "REPLAY" the 1990 state soccer championship.
The teams are sharing their story with Gatorade as part of the "REPLAY" campaign that kicked off February 20.

Brophy and Marcos played to a scoreless tie after 80 minutes of regulation and 20 minutes of double-overtime. During this era, the 5A bylaws stated the teams are crowned "Co-Champions" versus penalty kicks (PKs) to determine an undisputed winner.
The bylaw has since been changed and "Co-Champions" is a thing of the past.
After all these years, the squads are excited to potentially suit up one more time with their teammates, and challenge their cross-town rival in what is certain to be a true showdown among one of the most heated rivalries in high school soccer.
Please show your support by signing this petition and demonstrating to Gatorade the score needs to be settled after all these years.
Thank you!
Gatorade is still ignoring our requests while they promote their campaign to everyone else. We did not play for two hours only to be left in limbo by a marketing team that refuses to acknowledge the real history of this rivalry.

The massive wave of support shows that Gatorade cannot just ignore this history any longer. We are forcing them to look at our demand for a real finish to this rivalry.

Co-champions is just a fancy way of saying nobody won. Settle it on the field finally.

My brother played in that game. He still talks about it. Please make this happen for them.
