Please sign this petition to stop the zoning change for the proposed housing development on 146A near 146. The area is currently zoned for 17 homes and the developer is looking to change this to 34 homes which will increase the traffic jam going into the light at 146. This will also limit the ability of Sherwood Forest drivers to take a left onto 146A.

With the condo project being planned on the east side of 146A, we are going to experience a much higher volume of traffic. Concerns about pedestrians walking along 146A and crossing the roadway should be considered. We object to the expansion of the residential development from 17 homesites to 34 on traffic and public safety grounds.

Updates

March 27, 2018

I have submitted a formal request for a traffic impact study to the planning department. This documentation will be presented at the upcoming zoning board hearing.

The volume of support for this petition has cleared the threshold required to trigger a formal review by the planning board. I have requested a seat at the upcoming zoning hearing to present these objections directly to the commissioners.

Do not make any changes to zoning, 146/146A intersection is already very busy and unsafe intersection and adding more houses will make it even more unsafe

Do not make any changes to zoning. The condo project along with additional 34 homes is an unnecessary increase in traffic and risk to safety.

The Town shouldn't change their own Zoning, putting our safety at risk, so they can obtain more land.

I can't believe the Town would jeopardize the safety of the residents of the Town with this additional trafic.

It appears the Town of Clifton Park doesn't fully appreciate the safety and traffic issues any zoning change will cause.

This type of density is very concerning. Increasing pull outs will disrupt the morning flow. More left hand turns will halt the evening flow. It's already scary walking down the 146A bike path.

Please do not change a previous decision for zoning increasing traffic

Do not accept any zoning changes. The condo project plus an added 34 homes is an excessive increase in traffic and risk to safety.
