As concerned neighbours, we are appealing the decision by the Committee of Adjustment regarding the construction of 4 4-storey houses at the corner of Boulton Avenue and Dundas St. East.
Each and every variance requested is in complete disregard to the zoning by-laws that were purposefully developed for the proper planning of our city:
- to ensure decent interior living space for residential use
- to ensure access to and preserve our all important green space
- to ensure a commonality of building heights and styles within a residential neighbourhood
4 4 Storey buildings will tower over our homes certainly affecting our views, daylight availability and health of our tree canopy.

I just looked at the screen and realized how many people actually care about our little corner of the street and honestly I am shaking a bit because I never thought this would gain any traction at all. It feels like people finally see the scale of these buildings and how they ruin the light in our backyards which makes this whole fight feel a lot less lonely suddenly.

This is a busy street corner where students get to school. The design of this build **needs to be** commensurate to the green space allocated at the other corners of this intersection, which is is not!

The variances requested by the developer are purely for monetary gain, with flagrant disregard for either future residents or existing neighbors. It will destroy the integrity of our historic neighborhood of character.

I think that having four houses in that space is too crowded. Three would make more sense. They will be very small and parking in our area is already becoming very difficult. Adding another four houses will impact parking. In addition the height of the construction will seem out of character with the rest of the neighbourhood. The houses are on a busy corner, cramming four residences in a small plot on a busy corner seems to be ill thought out.

Four stories is definitely too high to fit in with the neighbourhood

Max height for a home should be 3 storeys

Key concerns: Proposed Height of new buildings, density and reduced green space.
