Not only do they want to raze this home, they want to ram in a huge oversize McMansion that's also over lot coverage allowance and over 30 feet high!! No way can anybody make findings for that.

South Pasadena seems to do a better job of preserving their heritage. We should make sure at the next election that we choose people who will preserve and protect our city

Anyone who wants to raze these historic San Marino homes needs to take two field trips: one to Arcadia, and one to the historic district of an East Coast town of their choice. Adding on the environmental/waste factors, it seems to me that there's very little argument to be made for permitting the destruction of San Marino's legacy homes.

Things will be coming up roses once we get our historic preservation ordinance adopted. Meanwhile, we have to save houses one by one, and "put the 'petal' to the medal."

Please keep the character of San Marino
These homes have lasted decades and will continue to last is not destroyed. In addition to saving our neighbourhoods, saving these homes will preserve the planet. Every time one of these perfectly good homes is razed, the materials end up in landfills, unnecessarily.

There is no reason to tear down this house. It is architecturally beautiful, built in 1930, and structurally sound. It is lovely inside & out. All of the past developers, architects and designers from years past are rolling in their graves when they see their hard work & design being torn down for greed.

Save San Marion's legacy. This is a great example of a perfectly wonderful home slated for destruction. There are many homes in the area that are in the Monterey Colonial style. I noticed that a mid-century modern home on Virginia Road has been razed. What will replace it? Just visit Arcadia to find out.
