One of San Marino’s loveliest historic homes is 1285 Oak Grove, a house built in the Monterey style of architecture in 1930. Currently, plans are being made by developers to demolish this architectural gem. Sham historic reports which deem the house ineligible for distinction (paid for by applicants for demolition), are just a ruse to benefit developers.

It is time for our city leaders-- with the help of true historic resource consultants—to conduct the long-anticipated historic survey and work with the community to determine which of our homes will be recognized as historic resources.

The plans to demolish will not be fulfilled if we organize and oppose the reckless destruction of our architectural legacy. You can help by signing this petition, commenting, volunteering, sharing this important message, and donating to San Marino Heritage to offset our legal and administrative costs (http://sanmarinoheritage.org/Donate/index.php).
