Please help by - signing our petition to give our horses, at Ham River, more time at their home. Due to the "Aveley and South Ockendon Master Plan", Ham River is being restored into a Country Park. We were originally given a 2-3 year notice to pack up our stables and move over 100 horses, and other animals to new homes, which we were advised would be allocated to us by the developers. This has now changed and we have been given a maximum of 4 weeks to move off - and have not been reallocated new homes. Your help and support will be aiding towards not fighting against the country park, but fighting for the original time notice, to enable us to safely re home our horses and animals. This Petition is for the love of our Horses and its been a home for horses for 36 years - we, as the owners, have made it part of our lives and we are sure that the Ham River has also been a part of yours. Not only will we be petitioning against this, we will also be protesting, along with the local newspapers' help, so any support you give is greatly received and appreciated. Thank you

Give them the 2 years they were promised. Moving horses is a massive job not something you do in a month!

My kids love visiting these horses. It would be a huge loss for the whole community to see them gone like this.

4 weeks is impossible! How are they supposed to move over 100 horses that quickly?? leave them be

Total incompetence. You cant just dump that many animals on the street with 4 weeks notice. Sort it out.

Ridiculous decision. These animals have been there for decades. Shame on the council for doing this.
