I am a resident of Donnybrook in Mandara. This is at the intersection of Harare drive and Arcturus road.
My concern is the traffic congestion, the deplition of underground water reserves, increased levels of noise and air pollution

There is already terrible congestion around this area and will add further to the problem. The city of Harare and Goverment should do a realistic and sustainable re the overall massive growth around all of Harare maybe satellite cities a long way with fast trains etc etc .

Having so many more residents in the area is going to strain resources and increase traffic etc. It is concerning that this is being allowed to happen.

City of Harare continues to undergo massive expansion but does it even look after the residents it already has? No it doesn’t. We in mandara haven’t had municipal water since 2000. This endless expansion without parallel water infrastructure development will lead to disaster.

The area has no sewerage or water & cannot sustain ongoing development without first ensuring existing residents have access to basic services.

It’s too much. The current infrastructure cant manage with what it has now.
We bought on larger land with neighbour's also doing the same. We want low density suburbs not cheek to jowls. Nothing is maintained at present. There seems to be no environmental awareness when it comes to building these complexes. Huge 100 odd year old msasas are knocked down, and anything else with a green leaf. Replaced with paving stones and ummm palm trees 🙈.
Trees are life. Water is life.

We are already suffering from heavy traffic and noise because of the Damofalls and other east bound traffic on Rhodesville Avenue. The road is hardly ever maintained. Wild animals are now seeking refuge in our gardens because all trees and natural habitats are being destroyed to make way for ill planned developments.

We should be consulted prior to developments that affect us as neighbouring residents. We should have input in the planning of our surroundings. If planning is done with only input from people who don’t live in the area, they tend to overlook what affects existing residents.

I am opposed to this development as it is sure to affect in a negative way the prevailing infrastructure and services. Most likely it will congest roads, undeunderground water and

The surrounding infrastructure is inadequate for the existing households and to add more pressure onto an already over loaded system does not make logical sense.
