We have 2 grandchildren that are autistic. I never would want to go through anything like this. It would be a great tool to help find them by alerting everyone to keep their eyes open sooner. This is long over due for so many situations. This alert will help in so many way with so many difficulties. The sooner the better.

We need to have an alert system in place for missing children or adults who have cognitive or any form of disability who do not meet the amber alert criteria. It matters not if the child is abducted or missing, the risks are the same and the alerts will save time in getting the searches underway much faster.

I’m a parent to three disabled girls and this is a mother’s worst nightmare. To not have the immediate attention of our communities to m be aware of our missing children is a problem as we work together. No one can help if they’re not aware. These children don’t know like other kids and it’s vital we get the word out immediately for them.

Having two artistic sons myself I feel every child deserves their own alert, especially special needs and the amber alert that’s already in force. Special needs children and adults are different. They are to be searched differently, etc. every child matters and eloping is different than running away. This alert is super important for every child that has a disability and adult that has a disability I would rather have my cell phone go off 100 times a day looking for people then finding them dead

We need to protect our most vulnerable. The community support to find parker has been incredible and at the same time it is too little too late. We all needed to be aware of this incident within that first 48 hours, not after. We missed the most critical window of time. The support we have today on day 5 was the level of support we needed on day 1. I’ll forever regret not knowing about his disappearance on that first day. I would have been out there looking if I had known.
